Wow, I’m telling you… what an amazing week we all had at the Green Valley Resort! How relaxing it was to sit poolside for a quiet moment between classes and gather up some of that beautiful sunshine amidst the palms and gardens. And there’s something exciting about having a retreat in such a serene setting while having the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas be only minutes away! This venue really is outstanding — everyone loved it.

Our wonderful instructors outdid themselves with spectacular classes. Thanks to all of you for making the attendees’ wishes come true and for perpetuating such marvelously creative ideas! Your kindness and patience really allow people of all levels of artistic experience to come to Art & Soul and try something new. You rock!

And for everyone who attended — newbies and long-time followers alike — thank you so much for wanting to take some soulful time for yourselves, push your creative limits, be adventurous, as well as meet with old friends and make new ones too. Whether you’ve come to Art & Soul for the first time, or have been for years — it definitely makes a palpable impact in your life. Something you can feel in the moment, but also take home with you. Thank you all for taking this journey with us!

Well lookie here… I just love to see a room full of students concentrating diligently on what they’re doing. You know when the room goes silent, the creative wheels are turning! Sheer bliss.

Hmmmmmm. Decisions, decisions. Half the fun in these creative classes is seeing how everyone puts their own twist on the techniques being taught. Personalities really shine through in the artwork made here!

And all the wonderful classes that Art & Soul has to offer, wow! Even though it’s almost a week-long retreat — I know for the students it’s sometimes hard to choose which ones to take. Many take workshops based on techniques they’d like to enhance. Others make their choices based on going totally outside their comfort zone.

But no matter which direction they go, I’ve heard time and time again how much they loved what they did! Just look at the Milagros in this photo. How cool are they!

And how about those spacious classrooms? Who doesn’t love room to spread out and create! Everyone had plenty of room, not only for all their “stuff” on the table, but also for the luggage, carts and bins they use to bring it all to class. Makes everything so much nicer when you have enough space to concentrate on the task at hand — setting your creativity freeeee!

So, once again — thanks to the Green Valley Resort, and to the teachers, and to the attendees, and the Vendor Night vendors and shoppers, and to Marie Kennedy and Liz Krening for keeping me on my toes in the office.

Love and hugs,
Glenny xoxo
