The Mad Hatter has a plan, Won’t you join the fun?

Excitement is building as we introduce the guidelines for a pocket skirt contest.  Most of you know that this contest has evolved due to the skirt worn in Portland by Abby Ross. It was a fabulous garment and sent many of us to altering heaven!  We have decided to have a contest, a fashion show and a tea party!  Sound like fun??  Vegas will kick off our fashion show and Tea Party – the perfect location for altered skirts on a runway. Here are the details:

We are going to have a Pocket Skirt Fashion Show, Contest and Tea prior to Vendor Night on Saturday in Vegas. All the art girls in Wonderland need a new pocket skirt to wear on their multitude of adventures! Where else can they store their stamps, pencils, trades, and ideas? Won’t you help them out? Your creations will be entered in our fabulous Wonderland contest and will walk the runway to the oohs and aahs of the crowd. The requirements are few: skirt must have at least one pocket and must be able to be worn down the runway.

Winners will receive an all day class of their choice at the next Art & Soul event. Don’t want to make a skirt, but want to enjoy the fun? Plan to attend the Spectacular Runway Event and enjoy the creativity of the skirts! Location, date and time to be revealed for each event as the day draws nearer.

A Wonderland Tea Party will be held just prior to the fashion show. Tea and cookies will be served. Whilst the Fashion Show will be free, the tea party will be $10. You may sign up online under the merchandise & Special events tab. Be certain to click the event you are attending. Beside the tea and cookies we’ll be offering some entertaining tidbits for you to enjoy.
