For Immediate Release
Portland, Oregon – June 17, 2011

Art & Soul announced today that a private business has made a significant investment in the Portland-based company, which hosts art retreat workshops and art festivals.  Art & Soul’s founder, Glenny Moir, has retained a substantial stake in the company, and will remain the primary producer of Art & Soul.

Moir stated, “The company and CEO, which wish to remain anonymous at this time, have become involved at a pivotal point in time for Art & Soul’s growth.  We are now well-positioned to continue hosting the art retreats our attendees have been participating in over the past twelve years, discovering up-and-coming artists, and bringing the most cutting-edge art trends to each retreat.  With this investment, Art & Soul is also able to make significant progress in expanding its business well into 2012 and beyond.  We have been developing new ways to enhance every retreat in the future and are very excited to start showing our attendees what we’ve been planning.”

Three upcoming art retreats have already been scheduled: Portland, Oregon (September 26 – October 2, 2011); Virginia Beach, Virginia (March 1-6, 2012); and Portland, Oregon (September 30 – October 6, 2012).  The theme for the 2011 Portland retreat is In the Garden with Art & Soul and registration is now open.  Registration for the Virginia Beach 2012 retreat begins promptly at noon PST tomorrow, June 18, 2011.

Wow, what can we say? An exciting new location in Virginia Beach and a hearty roster of amazing workshops taught by the leading mixed media instructors!

Wondering about the ethereal allure of beeswax? How about the looming appeal of weaving? Are you hot on the savvy art of soldering? Getting geeky over Steampunk? Wanna get your ocean in motion with freestyle quilting? Maybe you’ve wondered what the new American still life looks like? Or what the proper juxtaposition of the perfect journal page is? Perhaps you’re wigging out over what your alter ego’s crazy hairpiece might look like?  Maybe you’d just like to untangle the mysteries of Zentagle.

Whatever your creative desires, we have the classes for you! So take a deep breath, go get a drink and a snack, then come back and browse the pages of Art & Soul Virginia. Let your courageous side do the looking and let your imagination soar! You can view our workshops by instructor, or by workshop name, or by example photos too! So, make a note…
